Long March of Pakistan

(12^th June 08) Pakistani lawyers ”Long” March is going to be converted into “Million” March. Their number is increasing by thousands with each passing moment. Besides lawyers and civil society of Pakistan, political parties, student political groups, ex-army men, even children are joining this Long March.

Interesting thing is that governing party workers’ participation is also being reported. Point to be noted is that Aitizaz Ahsan him self and a majority of lawyers belong to PPP (Governing Party).

Their slogan is “Go Musharraf Go” and “war till restoration of judges”. They seem to be non-violent but it is being expected that if there demands are ignored it can become impossible to keep this “Million” march non-violent.
